TAKSU is pleased to present EMBODIMENT, a group show highlighting a top selection of Malaysian artists. With a focus on their latest work, these emerging and established pool of artists have come together for an exhibition that showcases their new ideas and artistic practices. The exhibition puts a spotlight on TAKSU’s representation of Malaysian Artists, and reinforces its role in developing Malaysia’s contemporary art scene.
The show will feature work from 14 artists of diverse backgrounds—each unique practitioners of their craft, encompassing abstract, figurative and sculptural work that showcases the diversity and quality of the country’s contemporary art scene.
EMBODIMENT will be a collective display of artworks without a common theme or practice—unified instead by honouring each individual’s innate desire to express and create freely.
The show emerges as a reminder of our strong bilateral bond with Malaysia that is embodied in our country, history, and TAKSU’s Kuala Lumpur Gallery. EMBODIMENT aims to share and foster dialogue between the two galleries by encouraging the audience to experience the flow of energy created by these contemporary Malaysian artists and their work.
