Interdependence

Solo Exhibition by Zulkifli Lee

TAKSU kicks off the 2021 new year with the solo exhibition by Zulkifli Lee which opens this January 14th at TAKSU Kuala Lumpur. The exhibition features 14 sculptures that will be on display until February 13th.

In this latest solo exhibition titled ‘Interdependence’, Lee explores the notion of an interdependent relationship between contrasting materials of wood and steel. He used materials and forms as a dichotomy of an element to show the shifting entanglement of relations. What makes it more interesting and encouraging for the viewers to examine further is the constructions and the geometric forms that are derived from a design that relies on mathematical order.

The ‘Interdependence’ solo exhibition will engage the visitors with the sculptures to bridge the gap of understanding between the viewer and the artist closer.

Zulkifli Lee is an artist currently based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In 2019, he completed his art residency with ACME Studio in London, UK. His artworks are in numerous public collections such as Khazanah Nasional, Malaysia; Singapore Art Museum (SAM), Singapore; Rimbun Dahan, Malaysia; Four Seasons Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Banyan Tree Signatures Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

During the MCO period in KL from 13 Jan to 26 Jan 2021, we invite you to a virtual tour of the exhibition below. You can read more about this exhibition by viewing the exhibition’s e-Catalogue.
