Arnewaty’s practice explores the notion of repetition as a catalyst, which in itself creates spaces among multiplicity and congested forms. Her paintings involve intensive layering and accumulated brush forms. Although trained in the art of painting, Arnewaty also extends her practice to object-based works.

Arnewaty graduated from LASALLE College of the Arts in 2008. She had completed her Bachelor of Arts (Painting) and was a recipient of The Goh Chok Tong Youth Promise Award in 2007 and Winston Oh Travelogue Award in 2006. She has since participated in several exhibitions such as Singapore Art Exhibition, Singapore Contemporary Young Artists Exhibition and Wrestling [at Taksu Singapore and Malaysia], Rhythm and Groove with ARTSINGAPORE'07 @ Ministry of Sound.
