Juan Alcazaren started this series as a tribute to Roberto Chabet, after his passing in 2013. He was very in uential to many artists in the local art scene and a mentor to many. The title references the name of Mr. Chabet’s ctional alter ego – Angel Flores. He invented this persona in the ‘70s.

“In a way i am trapped in a kind of obsession he planted the seeds of, which is, to use humble materials to create a feeling of profundity. I am not sure I get Chabet’s point entirely, but these assemblages are a joy to make.”
