Taksu invites you to the Rob Manning solo show, ‘Perception of the Azure Light’ in Singapore. The exhibition runs from 10th May till 3rd of June. Rob Manning – a name synonymous with the well-loved Sydney store Manning & Manning – has taken the decision to solely focus on creating art in recent years. Rob completed his formal art education in Melbourne, before moving into creative for advertising and later fashion photography. He later spent many years in London and France in the international art and antiques market, before opening his eponymous Sydney store. Now a full time practicing artist, he lives between Singapore, Australia and Europe – exhibiting both here and abroad. His forthcoming solo show at TAKSU, Singapore, Perception of the Azure Light is inspired by nature, reduced and expressed in their purest forms. “It is an exploration of one’s connection with the natural world, arriving in its truest essence and vibrancy; with all of the transformative power that this brings to our understanding of our lives and inner world”. These evocative mixed media works feature alluring silhouettes, and eye-pleasing palettes and evocative spatial vibrations. They are artfully derived from the amalgamation of history and our contemporary world, formed with the desire to see life in a fresh, new and invigorating way.
