Tony Prove

Tony Prove is an Australian with strong links to Malaysia, as he has been living in Kuala Lumpur since 1995 due to his involvement in several high-profile rail transportation projects. His affection with the arts is carried over from his early engineering days and the development of “Artist Impressions” for the rail industry. He has worked with a number of mainstream mediums over the years but rediscovered his true passion for the arts over the past 6 years, with the successful and unique usage of industrial related methods, substrates and mediums.

“The utilization of industrial related methods, substrates and mediums is a never-ending journey of exploration, and has proven to be a personal passage of self-awareness. Much of which is due to the need to release control and look outside the constraints of working within the structured and militant world of engineering. My epoxy pieces are full of emotion with the layering of colour and gloss which creates a thought-provoking depth of fantasy and interest. Whilst my steel works portray a combination of dynamic movement and natural flows as observed within nature and life itself.

I offer high quality, original handmade abstract artworks, employing a naturally occurring technique ensuring each piece is truly unique. The utilisation of timber, aluminum and stainless steel substrates and mediums such as epoxy resin, fiberglass and carbon fiber have led to the characterization of my art form as “Industrial Abstraction”. Coming from an industrial background, the quality of each finished piece is something which I also see as extremely important. For this reason, all pieces are finished with a world leading automotive UV resistant clear coat, which provides long-term durability and a superior finish to each individual piece” – Tony Prove
