Christopherson Ho

b. 1988, Singapore

Christopherson Ho (b. 1988 Singapore) graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from LASALLE College of the Arts, Singapore (accredited by Goldsmiths, University of London) in 2017.
In 2015, he was awarded the Winston Oh Travel Practice Award and was commissioned by Four Seasons Resort in Maldives in 2016.
Christopherson was formally trained as a sculptor. His art practice has extended to paintings, inspired by concepts of faith, hope, light, and darkness. Christopherson’s paintings explore the effects of light, in particular how light reflects against the texture of paint.
This gives rise to the works abstract and textural marks that possess a life-like quality, conveying a sense of energy and strength in its creative process. As a finishing touch to the piece, the pigment was applied onto the polymer paste, activating the work and bringing it to life with its vibrance. In its harmony of lines, forms, and colour, enlightenment and imagination are brought forth through this work of art.
