The most anticipated solo exhibition by Hisyamuddin Abdullah at TAKSU Kuala Lumpur is now launched online on 01 July 2021. The exhibition features 14 artworks that will be on display until 31 July 2021.
In his second solo exhibition titled ‘KOTA(k) MAGIS’, Hisyamuddin took his inspiration from the magic show concept and translate the current issues into the Malaysian context.
Hisyamuddin tries to express his thoughts and feeling and to relate it to the current situation. The main subject of the works is the ‘box’. The box has its own symbol according to the artist. The box symbolizes the current issues that occur in the country from the artist’s point of view. All of the 14 artworks have their own deeper meaning and once comprehended, the audience could relate to it. The ‘KOTA(k) MAGIS’ solo exhibition will engage the visitors with critical thinking while raises questions on the subjects.
