Lines That Morph
A Solo Exhibition by Azaikmal Rashid
TAKSU Kuala Lumpur is pleased to showcase, ‘Lines That Morph’, a solo exhibition by Azaikmal Rashid. Pushing boundaries and revitalising the art fundamentals, Azaikmal’s exhibition continues his exploration in the abstract expressionist space as he experiments with techniques and materials, manipulating elements such as line, form, space, and object to create vivid universes.
Drawing focus back to the fundamentals, Azaikmal’s current series is a captivating exploration of line. The canvases pulsate with a vibrant symphony of lines that morph and dance, weaving a tapestry of abstract shapes. These shapes, though abstract, occasionally evoke fleeting suggestions of the natural world – a blossoming flower reaching for the sun, a falling leaf surrendering to gravity. However, the focus here is not on literal representation but rather, on the intrinsic qualities of line, shape, colour, and the dynamic relationship they forge on the canvas, inviting viewers to engage with the artwork on a more instinctive level.
A testament to Azaikmal’s experimental spirit and unwavering commitment to his craft, ‘Lines That Morph’ marks the next evolution in Azaikmal’s artistic career. Experience Azaikmal’s new world at TAKSU Kuala Lumpur.
