Fabian Freese

b. 1982, Germany

Fabian Freese’s work is a exploration of the urban environment, often combining different fields of contemporary art, with objects. However, he devotes his sense of beauty and aesthetics largely to his childhood years spent in nature, playing with wood and water. As a teenager, he began to dabble with Graffiti. The marks left by an artist on the environment is what appeals to Fabian, and he has spent much of his art practice exploring ways to incorporate urban materials and contemporary media into his works.
Freese studied visual Arts at the Freie Akademie der bildenden Künste (fadbk) in Essen, Germany, and graduated in 2011. His artworks have been exhibited in countries across Europe, America, Asia and Australia.
