Keith Teo’s practice involves the exploration of surface materiality in painting. His works examines process as painting. By taking an intuitive process-driven approach with painting, he has no preconceived image of the final composition. He employs deconstruction to construct forms with methods like erasure, smearing and disfiguring to obscure elements in the paintings. His current work places more engagement with the viewer to read into the process and sometimes construct the image themselves. He graduated from LASALLE College of the Arts with a diploma in Fine Arts in 2015 and has participated in several group exhibitions locally. He was one of the finalists in Clifton Art Prize 2017.
