A graduate of UiTM Malaysia with a Bachelor of Fine Art, Putra Nazri has spent the last eight years as a full-time artist based in U12, Shah Alam. As an artist, Putra works in an abstract style to express life experiences and lessons.

Capturing ephemeral moments of change, Putra specialises in mark-making techniques, including scratched lines, patterns, and strokes, which contribute to his distinctive abstract style. Putra creates an intimate space between surroundings and feelings using geometric and organic forms and gestural elements. These artworks reflect the seasons of light and darkness, highlighting the importance of balance in life.  His dedication, creativity, and mastery of these techniques combine to shape a legacy extending beyond canvases – Putra’s art not only captures fleeting moments of change but immortalises them, offering a glimpse into his kaleidoscopic imagination.

Participating in exhibitions across Malaysia, in 2022 he put on his solo exhibition, ‘Winds of Change’. His most recent group exhibitions include, ‘Fragments of Becoming’ in Kuala Lumpur, and ‘Locals Only! 2024’ at TAKSU Kuala Lumpur. Putra’s artwork is featured in permanent corporate and private collections. Additionally, he was awarded the Malaysia Emerging Artist Awards (MEAA) in 2022.
