Instead of using vibrant colours that one would associate with the vibrancy of Kuala Lumpur, Chris opted for more muted colours and tones to reflect her inner state of mind whilst being there. The paintings created during this artist residency reflect the ‘now’ moment of her daily painting existence, a very intense and quite solitary experience.
