W. Rajaie

b. 1997, Malaysia

W. Rajaie is an emerging artist with a BA in Fine Arts from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Shah Alam. As an artist and designer, he has joined in various exhibitions, most recently in Locals Only! 2021, a group exhibition at TAKSU Kuala Lumpur.
His work is a gesture of him as an artist confronting and dealing with reality. It brings out the relation between the artist and his medium, soil. The soil is ‘poetically blooming’ and the elements of chances, randomness, and organic emerged in the process of ‘togetherness’.
His artworks deal with the relationship of himself perceiving the complexity of ambiguous reality, through the romantic and poetic engagement with nature in materialitical framing.
