Ong Kar Mun

Based in Kuala Lumpur, Ong Kar Mun (b. 1990, Negeri Sembilan) is an abstract artist whose practice is influenced by her background in Psychology and Therapeutic Play. Her work explores themes of purpose, emotional tension, and the cyclical flow of nature. By manipulating the fluidity of paint, she balances intention with unpredictability, creating a space where the unknown can unfold through intuitive brushstrokes. She views her art as a catalyst for self-reflection, inviting viewers to engage with their own vulnerability and discover fresh perspectives on their personal journeys.

Kar Mun has showcased in various group exhibitions and recently participated in the Young Art Entrepreneur (YAE) program by Balai Seni Negara in 2024. Her works are held in prominent institutional and corporate collections, as well as by private collectors in Japan, Greece, and Malaysia.
