Too Unusual To Fit, Too Iconic To Quit

A Group Exhibition at TAKSU Kuala Lumpur

TAKSU KL presents: Too Unusual To Fit, Too Iconic To Quit

Figurative art has always occupied a distinct space, often outside mainstream trends, yet constantly reinventing itself. Too Unusual To Fit, Too Iconic To Quit brings the human form and figurative visual language back into the spotlight.

Featuring artists from Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines, this exhibition explores shift, scale, and storytelling in today’s regional art scene. The exhibition offers a different perspective on figurative art: quirky, unusual, and unapologetically iconic.

This exhibition also serves as a teaser for our showcase at CIMB Artober this year, featuring a preview of artists who will participate in the upcoming art fair. Too Unusual To Fit, Too Iconic To Quit marks the start of a broader dialogue, inviting viewers to re-examine the figure through different lenses.
