Arikwibowo Amril

b. 1988, Malaysia

Arikwibowo is a visual artist based in Kuala Lumpur. Specialising in charcoal drawing, his works are experimentations that examine his relationship with his choice medium. He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honours from UiTM in 2012 and has participated in notable artist residencies including SUNYI by National Art Gallery Langkawi (2024) and NAFAS Residency in Yogyakarta, Indonesia (2014). His work has been featured in significant exhibitions across Malaysia and internationally, including presentations at prominent Kuala Lumpur venues, culminating in his participation in “Malaysia Eye” at MATRADE, London, in 2013, which marked his entry into the international art scene.
