Loqman Zainal

b. 1995, Malaysia

Graduated with a Diploma and BA in Fine Art from UITM Shah Alam. Loqman currently lives and paints in Kuala Lumpur. He has participated in several group exhibitions including KLIMEX, Mini Print at Balai Seni Negara (2018), Locals Only! at TAKSU (2021) & etc. He had his first solo exhibition in 2022.

Most of his artworks involve nature; sea scape and paddy fields. His artwork is influenced by his interest in photography, creating poetic images from the photographs he takes. Combining both reality and imagination by deliberate stylisation and maintaining the significant element of the landscape on the canvas to give it a positive and romantic impact to the viewer.
